Max Ritvo's debut collection, Four Reincarnations, is whimsical but never frivolous, wise but never overly proud of that fact. It heroically replaces grief with ecstasy, anger with humor, patience with the profane. Ritvo was one of a kind.

Max was born in Los Angeles on December 19th, 1990, in St. John's Hospital. He died on August 23rd, 2016, after a nearly decade long battle with Ewing's Sarcoma. 

In celebration of Max's unparalleled spirit and grace, the thieves made these t-shirts, which include the opening lines from Max's poem "Your Next Date Alone," which appears in Horsethief Issue Three.
